Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

Shellers From The Lone Star State

It was another fun filled day of shelling and exploring with Dick and Sherri from Texas. We spent the morning shelling then stopped by an island outpost for a nice lunch. The afternoon was a little more adventurous. We walked through the mangroves to an isolated stretch of beach and Sherri did a great job of exploring the mangrove swamp on the way to the beach.  I look forward to our next trip in December. (I will try to stay out of the swamps on our next outing) Capt. Brian

Beautiful shells...with an interesting sand dollar find...looks like another great day. The picture of the mother bird with the two fledgling babies walking along the beach is precious.

Gorgeous day - the snowy plovers were darling and so much enjoyed the dolphins. As always this trip was fantastic. Thanks again and see you soon. Dick and Sherry

The snowy plovers are adorable and that pelican pic is great - caught his head at a perfect angle (I have a thing for bird eyes being so clear!) Nice whelk, too! I sense there is a swamp story to be told :-)
