Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

A Day In December With Kathy

We left the dock as the sun was rising. Kathy has traveled with me many times. We started our trip by exploring the flats. The morning light was perfect for taking pictures. Next it was off to secret spot number 2, where many sea urchins were collected. Then it was off to lunch on a small island where we observed gopher tortoises in the wild and walked the nature trail on this historic little island. Then we traveled to another isolated stretch of beach to explore for the rest of the afternoon. Another wonderful day on the water with Kathy. Thank you!  Capt Brian

Thanks for another great day on the water. The photos turned out wonderful, as always. ...especially the crab. It was awesome to observe the living mollusks and sea anenomies on the flats, plus the jelly fish. And being able to collect the rose petal tellins, Morton's egg cockles, and sea urchins was great. it was really special to be able to observe the gopher tortoises in the wild!

In one of the last photos, is that an attached pair of Morton's Egg Cockles? Beautiful coloring!
