Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

Exploring With The Hagans

It was a wonderful day of island hopping and exploring with Bill, Brenda, Sarah, Libby, Ellie and Marylyn. The Hagans have traveled with me before and are up for whatever rolls their way. We saw dolphin, a 3 foot hammerhead shark, manatee, roseate spoonbill, white ibis and great egrets. The water was clear for exploring the flats so we took advantage of the clear water and observed many live shells. Next it was off to the beach at secret spot 11. I enjoyed the many questions from Libby and Ellie as we walked the beach. After a nice walk on the beach we traveled to Cabbage key for a delightful lunch of Mahi Mahi and shrimp. After lunch we went for a short walk on the island and took in the beautiful plant life and watched a gopher tortoise crawl slowly along. It was a great day on the water with a great family. I look forward to our next adventure.
Thank you Hagans!
