Our trip started at 7am and ended at 2pm. We covered a lot of area in a short amount of time. Debbie and Chuck are beachcombers and lovers of nature. Debbie is a good photographer and has a good eye for her subject matter. I enjoyed learning from her shooting photos. Debbie spotted this red-bellied woodpecker (the bird in the top photo) when we stepped off the boat. The sky was grey so this shot was a little tricky. Debbie captured some great shots. We also found a piece of lions paw. The sky started to turn blue instead of grey as we traveled to another island. Debbie and Chuck love the broken lightning whelks. We found the mother load of these west of secret spot no number. Then it was off to the Tarpon Lodge for a relaxing lunch and conversation. On the way back to Captiva we took pictures of the historic fishouses in the sound. It was a fun day of nature, photography and shelling with Debbie and Chuck.

Shelling And Birding
Scott was out of the boat before I could get the stern anchor set, he was ready to shell. After the stern anchor was set his wife and friends got out of the boat. Scott was a fast walker and covered a lot of area. His wife enjoyed finding egg cockles for the first time. They also enjoyed the bird life along the way. It was a fun day of shelling and birding with Scott and crew. I look forward to our next adventure.
Photography And Exploring
The weather was perfect for Jake and Laura. Laura is a photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of the landscapes and birds. Jake enjoyed the isolated stretch of beach empty of people. What a perfect day and the colors were amazing. Thank you Jake and Laura. Capt. Brian

Walking and Listening with Diane
The weather and moon were perfect for Mike and Diane. I always have a plan for each trip but you know nature always wins. We started by just enjoying the birds overhead, my old friend the frigate bird. The tide was really low so we pulled over to a mudflat and enjoyed the sea life that was on it. Then off to favorite spot number one. The beach was beautiful (I didn't want to leave). It was a beautiful time of day to be on the island. The tide happened to be falling as the moon rose. Diane enjoyed every minute. I enjoyed listening to Diane's story and how she arrived on my boat. Her story made me appreciate what I do even more. Thank you Diane for your walk and talk. I look forward to walking and listening to your stories on our next adventure. Capt. Brian
