Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

The Marine World Around Us

The weather was perfect for Margaret, Manny, Jackie, Collin and Molly. They all enjoyed seeing the dolphin and learning about these marine mammals. The water was extremely clear so we all went for a walk in the sea grass learning about different marine habitat. The kids loved seeing a live sea urchin, a live whelk and horseshoe crabs. It is always fun with Margaret and Manny, this trip was extra fun showing the kids new experiences in the marine world.

Kim And Chablis Rolling With The Tide

Kim and Chablis have traveled with me for many years. They are always open for adventure and whatever comes our way. They can both roll with the tide.  The trip started by seeing a large pod of dolphin out in the Gulf. Chablis and Kim both took many photos. Next it was off to secret spot Z, however we got sidetracked along the way. The water was so clear we just had to stop to explore the grass flats and shallow sand bars. Eventually we made our way to secret spot Z spot. The beach was empty of people and full of solitude. The afternoon storm clouds were edging closer so we started our trek back to Captiva. On the way back we briefly stopped at secret spot no number where a cherished shell was found:).  Chablis made me a very cool sign for my back porch. I have included a picture of Chablis and I with the sign, also a picture of the sign on my back porch. Thank you Chablis for sign and thank you both for another fun adventure on the water. Capt. Shellers From The Lone Star State

It was another fun filled day of shelling and exploring with Dick and Sherri from Texas. We spent the morning shelling then stopped by an island outpost for a nice lunch. The afternoon was a little more adventurous. We walked through the mangroves to an isolated stretch of beach and Sherri did a great job of exploring the mangrove swamp on the way to the beach.  I look forward to our next trip in December. (I will try to stay out of the swamps on our next outing) Capt. Brian
