The Explorer Family

 It is always a pleasure to see the faces of Ursla, Izzy, Ben, Jennifer, Pat and Walter walk down the dock. Ben, Izzy and Ursla (the kids) always stump me with questions and answers.  The kids are excellent shellers, and sometimes a little competitive. Jennifer has a very good eye for finding shells just off the radar. (maybe that's where her kids get this from.) We had two excellent days of shelling with many highlights. Ben found many crown conchs. Lizzy  found horse conchs and crown conchs. Jennifer found many beautiful orange scallops. Ursula, well... She needed to wash the sand off her hands so I went with her to wash her hands off in the surf. When she finished washing her hands a lions paw washed up. (I guess it was a good time to wash your hands) It was a great two days of shelling with the explorer family. I look forward to our trips in March and April.       Capt. Brian

Lauren and Crew

It was a picture perfect day for exploring the out islands. Lauren and her family have traveled with me many times. This time they brought along Rachel and her son. I enjoyed talking with Rachel who is a photographer and watching her shoot creative images.  Meanwhile, Lauren and crew were busy collecting sand dollars. Numerous excellent shells were collected while Lauren searched for the elusive junonia. I look forward to our next trip in February.  Capt. Brian

A Day In December With Kathy

We left the dock as the sun was rising. Kathy has traveled with me many times. We started our trip by exploring the flats. The morning light was perfect for taking pictures. Next it was off to secret spot number 2, where many sea urchins were collected. Then it was off to lunch on a small island where we observed gopher tortoises in the wild and walked the nature trail on this historic little island. Then we traveled to another isolated stretch of beach to explore for the rest of the afternoon. Another wonderful day on the water with Kathy. Thank you!  Capt Brian

Gail and Zak

The weather was perfect for boating with Gail and Zak. Zak is a skilled boatman who is eager to learn new skills while we are on the water. Gail is an avid sheller who enjoyed seeing the dolphin and hearing them breath. The bird life was most enjoyable as well as the company. I always look forward to time on the water with Gail and Zak. Thank you both for a great day on the water.
