The weather was perfect for boating with Gail and Zak. Zak is a skilled boatman who is eager to learn new skills while we are on the water. Gail is an avid sheller who enjoyed seeing the dolphin and hearing them breath. The bird life was most enjoyable as well as the company. I always look forward to time on the water with Gail and Zak. Thank you both for a great day on the water.

Jersey Ladies
Four veteran water ladies spent the afternoon with me relaxing and exploring. The afternoon's weather was perfect. We went to secret spot number 11 and walked the beach. The beach was filled with coquinas as far as the eye could see. A large lightning whelk was found soon after setting foot on the beach. Then a seahorse was found. It was that kind of day. Next it was to a local watering hole off the beaten path. Great fun was had and good conversations were exchanged. The water was slick calm on the return to Captiva. We observed many dolphin playing and enjoyed more great conversations. Many thanks to the Jersey ladies for a fun afternoon of relaxing and exploring.

It's That Time Of Day
It's that time of day, Kenny Chesney sings about "It's That Time of Day". He sings about "The Life''. Then I go back to my dock on Captiva, wash my boat, and pray I can do it all over again.

Island Hopping With Nancy and Brian
The weather was perfect for a day of island hopping. Our trip started with a relaxing ride from Captiva to the Tarpon Lodge on Pine island. The Tarpon Lodge has excellent food and excellent hospitality. After a delightful lunch we traveled to the north end of Cayo Costa where we visited the ranger station and went for a quick look at the pine forest and Gulf beach. Then it was off on another boat ride to secret spot 14. We walked and talked and found many treasures from the sea. Nancy also found her favorite shell, the shark eye.
