Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

Capt. Brian Goes Exploring In The Back Country Of The Keys

Exploring new territory is always fun. I am a map/chart lover. I spend many hours looking at charts and plotting new courses. The paddle board allows me to travel to places few people travel. There is remote  and then there is paddle board remote. The area I was in had restrictions on shelling. However the views were astounding. I took many photographs off of the paddle board in many unique places. My old friend the frigate bird flew over as I explored. I had fun exploring the back country of the upper Florida Keys, but always thinking of the beaches that are to the north where I had traveled just a few years ago. The Ten Thousand Islands. I look forward to taking the paddle board to some of  my favorite spots in that remote region in the next three months.

Wow Brian. Looks like it's just you and the sun, sea and sand. And it just happens to be beautiful! The water color and clarity is fabulous. I imagine it would be soul soothing!!

That looked beautiful. I've never been to the Keys. It always makes me laugh when you mention the frigate birds and I remember the time I thought you called them "those friggin'" birds. LOL!
