Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

The Magnificent Frigatebird

All you have to do is watch when nature presents itself. This is just what my good friends Nancy and Brian Johnson did on our recent trip exploring the islands. There were over 150 of my favorite birds flying overhead. We watched and took many photos. I never tire of watching this bird on the wing. The ironic part of it all, it was less than 400 yards from where I helped one of these birds out of the water last year. Watching nature can present itself in many different ways, having your eyes open is half the battle.

You were so excited about those frigatebirds - they were quite an amazing sight!! Great pictures!! It was such a calm day. Even Boca Grande Pass was like glass. All of the dolphin surrounding the boat were something we have never experienced before. Absolutely awesome!!!!! Mother Nature was good to us that day. Another great day one the water with our favorite Captain. Looking forward to our next adventure!!!!!

Dang! Look at all those friggin frigates! Whenever I see one I always remember the time you rescued that poor bird who would have surely met his demise had your paths not crossed. It was right place right time for that frigate.

As Kiara and Dalayna would say with a huge smile and twinkling eyes, "It was the best day EVER!" :-) We have had a lot of those kind of days with you!
