Immerse in an ECO-Tour and Experience Southwest Florida Islands by Boat

“Captain Brian Holaway is well versed in the intricacies of our unmatched locale. He can guide to and through a multitude of out-of-the way tidal creeks, bayous, keys and islands. More important is his passionate interest and respect for the region. With unique insights from his many explorations and his studies, not only does he identify the birds and wildlife that inhabit our semi-tropical watery land, but he explains their interconnectedness to their environment and each other. In addition, he shares the fascinating history of rugged people who came long before us: Florida Native Indians, the Calusa, the Spanish, the Cubans, early homesteaders, and the wisdom evident in the growth of their culture.

You will come away with great enjoyment and a new understanding of this beautiful place and its history.”

A Day Of Photography and Island Hopping

The weather was perfect for spending the day on the water. Nancy loves island hopping and is always up for any adventure. Melissa is an excellent photographer and enjoys taking pictures of birds. We spent the morning at secret spot 13. Nancy walked the beach and Melissa took pictures of the shore birds. Next we were off to super secret spot (Ewa) to photograph my favorite bird, the Magnificent Frigate bird. It was great seeing these guys. Melissa took many photographs and Nancy enjoyed the view as well. Then it was off to our favorite place for lunch... the Tarpon Lodge.  Later that afternoon we stopped by the beach before heading back to Captiva.  It was another great day on the water with the Johnson Family.

Texas Shellers

It was a great day of exploring with Texas shellers, Selena and Don. We left the dock shortly after 7am and returned at 5. A lot of area was covered. We started at secret spot 05 where we collected on the beach and then went for a little tour of the back country on the island. Next it was off to a quiet area in the mangroves where we dropped anchor and had lunch on the boat. The only sounds to be heard were an Osprey and mullet jumping. After a quiet lunch we went to a long stretch of beach filled with sea urchins and shells. It was a great day with Selena and Don.
I look forward to our next adventure.

Great Day with Penny and Katie

Exploring with Katie and her mom, Penny, is always fun. They are up for whatever comes their way.  The weather was perfect for our trip. Many dolphin were spotted on our way to secret spot 11. The beach was filled with a carpet of shells. I enjoyed walking and talking with Penny and Katie as we shelled. It was another great trip with long time clients and friends.
Thank you for a wonderful day.    Capt. Brian
